Cyclones Volleyball Open 2025 Season
The 2025 SCTCC Cyclones volleyball team is expected to be a competitive team this year starting the season with a #7 national ranking. The Cyclones return 8 sophomores and add 5 first year athletes. Returning athletes include; Brooklyn Fischer from BBE, Lexy Nehring from Ogilive, Madison Biegler from Monticello, Maddie Frieler from Paynesville, Jadyn Young from Marcus, Iowa, Jaden Sandquist from Annandale, and Marrisa Mellgren from Princeton. The Cyclones also gained a transfer from Hibbing, Kallie Richards from Zimmerman. The 5 incoming first year players include; Deilys Anderson Rodriguez from Rockford, Makenzie Kitzberger from Zimmerman, Jazlynn Dimkpa from Big Lake, Esther Evans from Milaca and Jocelyn Zoller from Kimball.
The Cyclones started their season this weekend at the Opening Weekend Tournament in Rockford, Illinois. The first match of the tournament the Cyclones faced Joliet College earning a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-12, 25-21). The Cyclones faced nationally ranked DuPage college and fell short (18-25, 21-25, 18-25).
On Saturday the Cyclones took on North Central Michigan and came up short in 5 sets (20-25, 25-20, 13-25, 25-16, 9-15), followed by another close 5 set match falling to Lincoln Trail (18-25, 26-24, 21-25, 25-19, 11-15).

The Cyclones host their home opener versus Central Lake College on Wednesday, August 27th at 6:30pm at the St Cloud Whitney Center.
