SB- 7 Cyclones named to MCAC honors, Thorstad earns Coach of the Year

The Cyclones Softball Season came to an end on May 9th losing to NDSCS in the Region 13B Championship game.  The Cyclones finished with a 33-11 record. The Cyclones won the MCAC South Division with an 11-1 record. The Cyclones were also ranked as high as number 7 and was receiving votes in the final poll of the year.

 

7 Cyclones earned MCAC Southern Division honors for their play during the 2025 season. Emma Shelton, Sami Petzel, Jordyn Clapp, Ella Janzen, and Kenzie Hill earned 1st team honors. These 5 also were named to the All- MCAC team which is the top players with the MCAC North and South divisions combined.

Rhianna Buhl and Olivia Barkeim were named 2nd team. Greg Thorstad was named MCAC Southern Coach of the Year guiding the Cyclones to another conference title. Thorstad also earned his 400 win as the Cyclone head coach earlier in the 2025 season.

Kenzie Hill- Infielder .374 batting average, 52 hits, 51 runs, 14 2B, 6 3B, 33 RBI, 26 BB, 40 SB
