Cyclone Volleyball and Softball sign 7

The St Cloud Technical and Community College signed 7 new athletes to their rosters for 2016-17.  From left to right.

Mallory Nelson, a catcher/outfielder for the Dassel-Cokato High School softball team, earned All-Conference honors in 2014 and 2015 in the Wright County Conference playing for the Chargers. 

Kaitlyn Johnson, a middle hitter for Crosby-Ironton, led her team in blocks and was named to the All-Section Tournament team and was All-Conference Honorable Mention. Kaitlyn is signing with Cyclone volleyball and softball and last season she was a team captain earning all-conference, MVP awards and had the best team batting average.

Sydnie Sorheim is an outside and middle hitter for Blackduck high school volleyball team. She was an All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2014 and 2015 and led her team in kills and aces.

Lexie Hiltner, an outside hitter for the Apollo high school volleyball team,  led her team in kills, was a team captain, earned All-Conference Honorable Mention and her team's "Go Getter Coaches Award". 

McKayla Quade is a middle hitter from Paynesville high school, where she holds the school record in blocks.  This past season her team won the conference title and broke their school record for most wins.  She is currently playing for Granite City 18's Volleyball Club.

Chelsea Schroeder is a defensive specialist from Rocori high school where her team finished the season 4th at the State Tournament.  She was a team captain and named All-Conference Honorable Mention.  Chelsea will be playing volleyball and softball for the Cyclones, as last season her Spartan softball team placed 2nd in the section where she was a team captain and named All-Conference. 

Caitlin Deuel, a middle hitter from Big Lake, earned All-Conference honors and was one of the leaders on her team in kills and blocks. This winter she is playing for Precision Elite Volleyball Club.

The Cyclones are very excited for the future!
